Tom Scholz on Brad Delp

boston.jpg

Tom Scholz has a post on the Boston site regarding his memories of singer Brad Delp.

There are very few vocalists out there who leave a mark and Brad Delp will be one of them. It only takes a second to hear the trademark soaring guitars and then that vocal comes in and… it’s Boston.

Go listen.

I looked out this morning and the sun was gone
Turned on some music to start my day
I lost myself in a familiar song
I closed my eyes and I slipped away

tactless to speculate, I know…but was a just a coincidence that B.D. off’d himself a day before T.C.’s b-day? Sorry, but something went very wrong here. I’m still upset, and I’m definitely not a ‘get-upset-over-croaked-celebrities’ type. There’s no Boston w/o B. Delp. Scholz might as well retire; he’ll never find a better match.
