Gates and Jobs

Posted May 31st, 2007. Filed under Code Linux

Engadget has a nice overview of the recent interview with Bill Gates and Steve Jobs.

(This got over shadowed a bit by the ColdFusion 8 launch!) :)

There are some great moments in the interview – talking about transferring data around on cassette tapes, 128k or memory, the GUI vs. DOS interfaces., Lotus 1-2-3… This video cuts off mid-way but I did discover the complete interview is available at D5 AllThingsD.

Great memories – and if you weren’t around in those golden days of personal computers I’d check it out – it is amazing how much has changed in 20 years!

I think it would have been interesting if they had included Linus Torvalds. And yes – they do discuss the TV ads…
