The Story or Rush’s Red Barchetta

This is so cool. Are you a Rush fan? Like Red Barchetta?

This story was recently posted on one of the BMW (motorcycle) forums and is the tale of how Red Barchetta came about. There is more on Neil’s site as well.

How cool would it be to go riding with Neil Peart? Whoa! I really need to pick up his new book “Roadshow“.

What a great post for the 16th Annual Ride To Work Day. But I think Neil’s rides to work are more fun than mine :)

Nice to see another Rush fan out there in the CF community. I didn’t expect to like Roadshow (I haven’t read any of his other books yet), but I did. Now I have to splurge on his others - particularly Ghost Rider.

BTW, this is actually a pretty well known story among Rush fans. There used to be a site that detailed the literary references in Neil’s lyrics (its accuracy unknown), but I can’t find it now. It was pretty fascinating.

Ghost Rider is pretty good despite the events resulting in the story… I just thought it was cool after all these years - the two meet and both turn out to be motorcyclists, etc…
