Sigh. Some Days I Really Hate Adobe

Posted September 7th, 2007. Filed under Code

So I get ColdFusion 8 all setup on my Ubuntu machine. Everything is working great!

I fire up Eclipse, install the ColdFusion extensions from the Adobe site. Fire up the RDS view – set my localhost connection and the test completes successfully. Sweet! I can browse my local file system. Whoa!

So then I start poking around – ohh – what’s this – a “ColdFusion/AJAX Application Wizard”… Cool!

No supported

Sigh. Oh well. So much for ‘cross platform’…

  1. To be fair, _most_ of the Eclipse stuff _is_ available on the Mac. It is just the query builder and the wizard that isn’t. You can browse files, DBs, and write SQL queries, along with using the debugger, CFC browser, log viewer.

So it doesn’t work on the Mac either?? Well, that makes me feel a little better. :)
