Hmm. I haven't tried cranking up CF8 since I've upgraded. Will try that tonight and let you know if it works or not. I installed it under 7.04 with no issues. I'll also check and see what flavor of Java I'm running.

Ive been running Ubuntu for many years with excelent success 7.10 is just as stable from what i can see with a couple nice addons. The only issue ive been having is trying to install coldfusion under gutsy.I tried the fix that worked w/ ubuntu 7.04 , this however did not change anything , I am still not able to install . Any input would be greatly appreciated.

~$ cat Coldfusion-8-lin.bin | sed "s/export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL/#xport LD_ASSUME_KERNEL/" > /tmp/coldfusion.bin
~$ sudo sh /tmp/coldfusion.bin

Launching installer...

exec: 2481: /tmp/install.dir.8037/Linux/resource/jre/bin/java: not found

I am running

java version "1.6.0_03"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_03-b05)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 1.6.0_03-b05, mixed mode)

2.6.22-14-server #1 SMP Sun Oct 14 22:09:15 GMT 2007 x

Good luck! I want to download it and install it on the kids computer but I'll wait a bit til the newness wears off :)

I saw some figures on the torrent bandwidth being used yesterday on the Ubuntu forums...

So far I only have one or two odd issues with Compiz which I haven't bothered to look into much - not sure if I'm going to keep using that or uninstall it - it doesn't do much for me productivity wise.
