Google Problems?

Is Google getting too big? Yesterday the Google Apps account I setup for my wife’s new company was not sending email all day. This morning I got all the messages sent yesterday - over 17 hours later!

Today Google Groups is throwing 500 server errors when I try to search some Powerbuilder groups.

I’ve had really good luck with Gmail for quite awhile but I can’t be without mail for a day.
Completely unacceptable. What really sucks is Google provides no feedback on the status of their services. If there was a control panel I could visit and see that my Gmail is going to be down for a bit I can at least make plans to use something else. But with Google there is no feedback.

I hate to give up the great spam filters in Gmail but if the service continues to go downhill then I’m going to have to go back to my own mail server. Bummer.

Argh. Google must be doing something today. Now the Powerbuilder groups work but jQuery group says

    Server Error
The server encountered a temporary error and could not complete your request.

Yeah, makes an interesting situation: since it’s free, there’s certainly little incentive for them to provide Enterprise-level support and server / network transparency, yet more and more companies have begun relying on Gmail. There will be bound to be some market effect of some sort at some time, but meanwhile I agree that you can’t simply watch and wait without feedback / input.
