Meet Me on CFMeetup!

Have you checked out CFMeetup? These are online presentations covering a wide range of topics. Charlie Arehart has done a great job in getting some great people to present.

He’s been bugging me for a LONG time to do something on Ant. :) I’ve finally caved in and will be doing something Ant related on March 20th @ 6:00pm (EST)!

Right now I’m thinking an Ant 101 type presentation. Yesterday Marc Esher did a great preso “Ant On The Wire” which covered a bunch of stuff but a few people in the comments seemed like they wanted something more basic. John Paul Ashenfelter also gave a great presentation “Pragmatic ColdFusion: Build, Test, Deploy” but it covered a bunch of other things as well.

Do you have anything Ant related you’d like to see??

Let me just say in my defense: I’ve only been “bugging” Jim because he made the offer some months ago, so I simply kept following up. :-)

During the “Ant on the wire” talk this week someone asked why we’d not had a more intro-level talk. I had to say that I’d *tried* to arrange it (with a certain unnamed presenter) but just had not been able to. Jim realized I meant him and dropped me a note to proceed.

Not trying to dog (or “out”) you, Jim! :-) Just felt the need to avoid anyone reading that “bugging” comment the wrong way!

Anyway, thanks for offering it. Looking forward to it.
