<description>The actual rules can be found at http://www.section508.gov.

A good book on Accessibility is Jim Thatcher&#039;s Web Accessibility: Web Standards and Regulatory Compliance. http://www.amazon.com/Web-Accessibility-Standards-Regulatory-Compliance/dp/1590596382/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1204757427&amp;sr=1-1

While Section 508 is undergoing a refresh, its still at Version 1 right now and will be for at least another year. This precludes a lot of javascript, but if you want to take a chance or at least start looking at it seriously, you might want to look at Dojo, it has the accessibility aspects built into it. http://www.dojotoolkit.org.

JQuery had a plugin called JAria which pulled in accessibility and I know they are going to put it into the core, but I haven&#039;t been able to find out when.</description>
